The Avett Brothers released their latest bluegrass-inspired single, “Roses and Sacrifice.” The band played the song originally on “Late Night With Seth Myers” earlier this month.
“Roses and Sacrifice” has found its way into setlists through this past year, but hasn’t had an official release until Nov. 16. It’s the first time The Avett Brothers have released new music since 2016.
The Avett Brothers have their set sound, and “Roses and Sacrifice” holds to that. The song is a reflection on a strained relationship, shown through lyrics like “Can’t always disagree / We’ll find somewhere to meet, I know.”
